The Journal of Education and Learning Sciences (JELS) proudly presents Volume 5, Issue 1 (March 2025), which brings together a diverse range of scholarly works from five countries: Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Malaysia, and Australia. This edition features contributions from 14 researchers across multiple academic institutions, reflecting a global and interdisciplinary commitment to advancing the field of education. The authors represent the following institutions: Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Darul Falah, Indonesian Overseas School (SILN) Makkah, Universitas Nurul Jadid Probolinggo, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, University College MAIWP International (Malaysia), UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, STAI Kh. Muhammad Ali Shodiq Tulungagung, UNUGIRI Bojonegoro, Misr University for Science and Technology (Egypt), IAIFA Kediri, University of Sydney (Australia), and Madrasah Aliyah ASWAJA Ngunut Tulungagung. This issue presents a compelling set of research articles that explore key issues and innovations in education across varied cultural and institutional contexts. Featured studies include: “Analyzing the Impact of Gender and School Background on Islamic Religious Education Learning Outcomes,” which examines demographic influences on learning achievement; “Enhancing Educational Quality Through Effective Communication in Private Universities,” which highlights the role of interpersonal dynamics in academic institutions; and “Multicultural Islamic Education in Fostering Tolerance: Strategies and Challenges in Indonesia,” offering insight into values-based education. Additionally, “Innovative Curriculum Adaptation in Aligning Learning Content with 21st-Century Skills: A Case Study in Senior High Schools” provides practical approaches for curriculum reform, while “Effectiveness of a Student-Centered Learning Approach in Improving Academic Achievement” evaluates the impact of pedagogy on student performance. Lastly, “The Role of Self-Efficacy in Students of Al-Muhsin Islamic Boarding School Yogyakarta in Memorizing the Qur'an” delves into the psychological aspects of faith-based education.
