Article Retraction and Withdrawal
The Journal of Education and Learning Sciences upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and follows ethical publishing guidelines. To maintain the credibility of published research, the journal has established the following policies on article retraction and withdrawal:
1. Article Retraction
An article may be retracted under the following circumstances:
✅ Evidence of plagiarism or unethical research practices is found.
✅ Significant errors or inaccuracies that invalidate the research findings.
✅ Data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation is detected.
✅ Ethical violations such as improper authorship claims or conflicts of interest.
✅ Duplicate publication in another journal without proper disclosure.
Retraction Process:
✅ The editorial board will conduct a thorough investigation upon receiving a complaint or identifying an issue.
✅ Authors will be given an opportunity to respond and clarify the concerns.
✅ If retraction is necessary, a formal retraction notice will be published in the journal, and the original article will be marked as "Retracted" while remaining accessible for transparency.
✅ The article metadata will remain in indexing databases with a retraction statement.
2. Article Withdrawal
Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before publication under the following conditions:
✅ The manuscript has not yet been assigned a DOI or published online.
✅ The request is made with a valid reason, such as ethical concerns or major errors.
✅ All co-authors agree to the withdrawal request.
Withdrawal Process:
✅ Authors must submit a written request stating the reason for withdrawal.
✅ The editorial team will review the request and respond accordingly.
✅ If the request is approved, the manuscript will be removed from the review or publication process.
Important Notes:
✅ Unethical withdrawal, such as withdrawing an article after acceptance to submit it elsewhere, is strongly discouraged and may result in a blacklist from future submissions.
✅ Articles that have been published with a DOI cannot be withdrawn but must follow the formal retraction process.
