PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Journal of Education and Learning Sciences follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and originality of published research. The review process consists of the following steps:

1. Initial Submission and Editorial Screening

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system.
  • The editorial team conducts an initial screening to check for completeness, adherence to journal guidelines, and potential plagiarism using plagiarism detection software.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet basic quality or formatting standards may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at this stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

  • The journal employs a double-blind peer review process, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
  • The editor-in-chief or managing editor assigns at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

3. Reviewers’ Evaluation

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Clarity of research objectives and methodology
  • Theoretical and empirical contributions
  • Depth of analysis and discussion
  • Proper citation and referencing of sources
  • Language quality and coherence of presentation

Reviewers provide constructive feedback, suggest necessary revisions, and make recommendations:

  • Accept without revisions – The manuscript is suitable for publication as submitted.
  • Minor revisions – The manuscript requires slight modifications before acceptance.
  • Major revisions – The manuscript needs substantial improvements and will undergo another round of review after revision.
  • Reject – The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards for publication.

4. Revision and Resubmission

  • Authors receive reviewer comments and are given a specified period to revise their manuscript.
  • Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the same reviewers (if major revisions were required) or assessed by the editors for final decision.

5. Final Decision

  • The editor-in-chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.
  • The manuscript may be accepted, sent for further revision, or rejected.
  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and formatting before publication.

6. Publication

  • The final version of the accepted article is published online in the journal's next available issue.
  • Authors receive a notification of publication along with a digital copy of their article.

The Journal of Education and Learning Sciences is committed to a transparent and fair peer review process, ensuring high-quality scholarly contributions in the field of education and learning sciences.
