Peer Review Process

The Elementary Journal upholds a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and originality of the published research. Every submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening
    • The editorial team reviews the manuscript for adherence to the journal's focus, scope, and formatting guidelines.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria or contain plagiarism (checked using plagiarism detection software) will be rejected or returned for revision.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review
    • Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
    • The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure an unbiased evaluation.
  3. Review Criteria
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
    • Originality: Contribution to the field of elementary and early childhood education.
    • Methodological Rigor: Research design, data analysis, and validity of findings.
    • Theoretical and Practical Contributions: Relevance to educational theory and practice.
    • Clarity and Organization: Coherence, logical structure, and language quality.
  4. Decision and Revisions
    • Based on reviewers' feedback, the manuscript may be accepted, accepted with minor/major revisions, or rejected.
    • Authors receiving revision requests must resubmit within the given timeframe, addressing all comments and providing a response letter.
    • Revised manuscripts may undergo a second round of review if necessary.
  5. Final Decision
    • The editorial board makes the final publication decision, considering reviewer recommendations and adherence to ethical research standards.
    • Accepted articles proceed to copyediting, layout formatting, and final proofreading before publication.
