J-PE: Jurnal Pendidikan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This publication ethics statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published previously.
- Manuscripts are not under consideration by another journal simultaneously.
- All sources and references are properly cited.
- Data presented in the manuscript are accurate and authentic.
- Any form of plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practice is strictly prohibited.
- All authors have significantly contributed to the research and approved the final manuscript.
- Potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
- Errors discovered after publication are reported promptly to the editor.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Evaluating manuscripts solely on their academic merit without discrimination.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer-review process.
- Making publication decisions based on the manuscript's scholarly quality and reviewers' recommendations.
- Preventing conflicts of interest.
- Taking appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct or publication malpractice.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding manuscript information.
- Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.
- Inform the editor of any substantial similarity between the manuscript and other published works.
- Decline review assignments when conflicts of interest exist.
- Evaluate manuscripts based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher is committed to:
- Supporting editorial independence.
- Maintaining the integrity of the academic record.
- Ensuring transparency in publication processes.
- Upholding ethical standards in all aspects of journal publishing.
- Preventing commercial interests from influencing editorial decisions.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to J-PE: Jurnal Pendidikan will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
The maximum acceptable similarity index is:
≤ 20%
Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.
Conflict of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the publication process.
Retraction and Correction Policy
The journal reserves the right to retract, correct, or withdraw published articles when:
- Significant errors are identified.
- Ethical violations are confirmed.
- Plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification is detected.
- Duplicate publication is discovered.
Retraction notices will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.

Authors retain copyright of their work.
All published articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
