Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Spirituality and Counseling (JSC) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism. Manuscripts submitted to JSC must be the author’s original work and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.

  • Similarity Check: All submissions are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate).

  • Acceptable Similarity Index: Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% (excluding references, quotations, and common phrases) may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.

  • Forms of Plagiarism: This includes direct copying, paraphrasing without proper attribution, self-plagiarism, and inappropriate citation practices.

  • Consequences: If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the manuscript will be rejected or retracted, and the author may be barred from future submissions.

By submitting a manuscript, authors affirm that their work is free from plagiarism and complies with the journal’s ethical standards.
