A correction may be published when an error is identified that affects the accuracy or clarity of an article but does not invalidate its main findings or conclusions.

An article may be retracted when there is substantial evidence that the published work is unreliable or seriously violates publication ethics.

A retraction does not normally remove the original article from the journal archive. The article will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as retracted, together with a retraction notice explaining the reason for the action.
When serious concerns arise but an investigation has not yet been completed, GIME may publish an Expression of Concern to alert readers.
The notice may be updated or followed by a correction or retraction once the investigation has been concluded.
Authors, readers, reviewers, and other stakeholders may report suspected errors or publication misconduct to the editorial office.
The Editor-in-Chief will evaluate the matter and, where necessary, conduct an appropriate investigation before determining the appropriate editorial action.
All corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern will be handled transparently to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
GIME reserves the right to correct or retract published articles when necessary to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the academic record.
