Article Retraction & Withdrawal
CETHE: Journal of Creative Economics and Trading Halal Ecosystem is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. This policy outlines the procedures for article retraction and withdrawal in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Article Retraction
Retraction is applied to published articles when significant issues are identified that invalidate the findings or violate publication ethics.
Reasons for retraction include:
- Plagiarism or unethical use of data
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Major errors that invalidate conclusions
- Unethical research practices
Retraction Procedure:
- A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article
- The original article will remain accessible but clearly marked as “Retracted”
- The reason for retraction will be transparently stated
- The process will follow COPE guidelines
2. Article Withdrawal (Before Publication)
Withdrawal applies to manuscripts that are still in the editorial or review process.
Authors may request withdrawal if:
- There is a significant error in the manuscript
- Ethical issues are identified
- Duplicate submission is discovered
Withdrawal Policy:
- Requests must be submitted in writing to the editorial office
- Withdrawal is only permitted with valid justification
- Unauthorized withdrawal or multiple submissions may result in sanctions or temporary submission bans
3. Corrections and Erratum
If minor errors are identified that do not affect the overall findings, the journal may publish:
- Correction (Erratum) for publisher errors
- Corrigendum for author errors
4. Ethical Compliance
All retraction and withdrawal decisions are handled transparently and in accordance with COPE best practices, ensuring fairness, accountability, and integrity in scholarly publishing.
