Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to Justicia Islamica: Journal of Creative Economics and Trading Halal Ecosystem will undergo a selection and appraisal process by the Editorial Board. This is to ensure their compliance with writing guidelines, thematic focus, scope, and excellent academic quality. The review will employ a "double-blind peer review" method, where the identities of both the author and the reviewers are concealed from each other.

1. Initial Desk Review. At this stage, the manuscript is checked to verify its adherence to writing guidelines, focus, scope, and academic quality. If deficiencies are found, the author will be given an opportunity to revise the manuscript according to provided feedback. However, the manuscript may also be rejected outright if it fails to meet basic requirements.

2. Peer Review. Manuscripts that pass the initial review will be forwarded to reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The peer review process is estimated to take approximately four weeks. Manuscripts that do not pass the desk review will not proceed to this stage.

3. Reviewer Recommendation. Reviewers will provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept: The manuscript is deemed suitable for publication.
- Accept with Minor Revisions: The manuscript is acceptable for publication after the author addresses the reviewers' comments.
- Accept with Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revision (e.g., in data analysis, core theory, or rewriting of sections).
- Reject: The manuscript is not acceptable for publication due to fundamental issues.

These recommendations will be considered by the Editorial Board to decide the manuscript's next stage.

4. Author Revision Stage. For manuscripts requiring revisions (minor or major), they will be returned to the author along with a reviewer feedback form. The allotted revision time is four weeks for major revisions and two weeks for minor revisions.

5. Final Decision. The revised manuscript will be re-evaluated by the Editorial Board to ensure all feedback has been adequately addressed. The manuscript may still be rejected at this stage if the revisions are deemed insufficient.

6. Language Editing. Accepted manuscripts will undergo a language and grammar check to uphold linguistic quality.

7. Publication Confirmation. The final proof (layout) will be sent to the author for final verification and correction of any typographical errors. Upon author confirmation, the Editorial Secretary will process the manuscript for online publication on the journal's website and in print.
