The Green Economy Transformation in Rural Agrotourism

This study examines the implementation of green economy principles in Green Garden Magetan, an agrotourism area located in East Java, Indonesia, by integrating environmental sustainability with Islamic economic ethics. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving managers, local residents, and visitors. The analysis employed the Miles and Huberman interactive model and triangulation to ensure validity. Findings show that the transformation toward a green economy has produced positive environmental outcomes, including organic waste recycling, water efficiency, and land revitalization; social benefits through community participation and skill development; and economic gains through profit-sharing and business diversification. However, challenges persist in equitable income distribution, green infrastructure, and tourist environmental awareness. This study highlights that integrating maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah values justice (‘adl), stewardship (khilāfah), and environmental preservation (ḥifẓ al-bī’ah) enhances the ethical dimension of sustainability. The research concludes that the Green Garden model offers a replicable framework for Islamic based green economy transformation in rural agrotourism, aligning local development with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Indonesia, as a developing country, still faces the problems of poverty and income inequality. Zakat, as an Islamic economic instrument, plays a strategic role in addressing these issues, particularly through a productive zakat approach. This study aims to analyze the role of productive zakat in the development of MSMEs in Ngronggot District, Nganjuk Regency through LAZISNU MWCNU Ngronggot. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that productive zakat plays a positive role in increasing business turnover, assets, and the welfare of mustahik. However, there are still obstacles such as limited mentoring and managerial capabilities of beneficiaries. This study confirms that productive zakat can be an effective instrument of economic empowerment if managed optimally and sustainably

This study examines the role of productive zakat within a Green Zakat Framework in supporting the development of a green creative economy among mustahik in East Java. The research addresses the need to integrate Islamic social finance with sustainable development principles, particularly in response to environmental degradation and socio-economic inequality. Using a qualitative literature study approach, this research analyzes conceptual foundations based on maqasid al-shariah, especially hifz al-bi’ah, alongside empirical practices of productive zakat distribution. The findings indicate that productive zakat has significant potential to enhance mustahik welfare, promote entrepreneurial capacity, and foster creative economic activities. Furthermore, although current zakat practices in East Java primarily focus on economic empowerment, they provide a strong foundation for integrating environmentally sustainable practices. The study concludes that the Green Zakat Framework offers a strategic model to transform zakat into an instrument that simultaneously advances economic independence, social equity, and environmental sustainability. Future development requires structured indicators, institutional strengthening, and policy integration to optimize its implementation

Analysis of Human Resource Recruitment Practices in the Small and Medium Scale Tobacco Products Industry: A Literature Study

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik rekrutmen sumber daya manusia (SDM) di industri tembakau skala kecil dan menengah serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam proses rekrutmen. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode tinjauan pustaka, mengumpulkan dan menganalisis jurnal, buku, dan sumber ilmiah relevan lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik rekrutmen di industri tembakau masih didominasi oleh metode informal, seperti rekomendasi dari karyawan sebelumnya dan hubungan keluarga, yang mengakibatkan proses seleksi yang kurang optimal. Situasi ini menyebabkan kualitas tenaga kerja yang rendah, tingkat pergantian karyawan yang tinggi, dan penurunan produktivitas perusahaan. Lebih lanjut, keterbatasan sistem manajemen SDM dan kemampuan perusahaan yang terbatas untuk menarik pekerja yang berkualitas merupakan tantangan utama dalam proses rekrutmen. Studi ini juga menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi rekrutmen melalui penggunaan media sosial, platform pencarian kerja, dan teknologi berbasis digital dapat meningkatkan efektivitas rekrutmen dan membantu perusahaan memperoleh tenaga kerja yang lebih kompeten. Oleh karena itu, sistem rekrutmen yang lebih terstruktur, profesional, dan berbasis teknologi diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM di industri tembakau skala kecil dan menengah serta mendukung daya saing perusahaan.

Opportunities And Challenges Of The Halal Industry In The Field Of Household Goods

This research aims to describe the opportunities and challenges of the halal industry in the household goods sector in Indonesia. The approach used is descriptive qualitative by analyzing secondary data from various literature, industry reports, and government regulations. The results of the study show that increasing public awareness of halal products encourages economic growth in the household sector and opens up large export opportunities. However, lack of consumer understanding, supply chain transparency, and limited halal certification are the main obstacles. Therefore, synergy between the government, producers, and consumers is needed to strengthen the household halal industry ecosystem
